CLEAR INDICATOR KEY This key is depressed for claaring a antered figure by error. Note: When this key is depressed an indication of in- correct number entry “O° is appeared after depres- sing function key . --, ™ or -+, however, the results of calculation carried in accordace with the data directly concerned with tncorrect number entry are stored in the caiculation register, lt ¢s therefore advisable to perform recaiculatians by depressing key or by modifying the calcu- lation me thad. CLEAR KEY This key is used for clearing all figures registered. ADDITION AND EQUAL KEY This key és used for obtaining the results of addition, rultiplication and division. SUBTRACTION AND NEGATIVE EQUAL KEY This Key is used for obtaining the results of subirac- tion, multiplication and division. Press also for setting a negative figure, LO . ----Minus tamo SS ee MULTIPLICATION KEY Tnis key is used for multiplication as weil as for chec. king of intermediate results in successive multiplication. DIVISISION KEY This key is used for diviston. This key is also for the checking of intermediate results in successive division. POWER AND DECIMAL SETTING SWITCH This switch serves as both the power source switch and the dectmal setting switch. Therefore, when the switch is turned off {OFF side), the calculator is aisconnected from the power supply from the battery. Designation of decimal point: There are three decimal points (F, O and 2} to be designated, F : [me resuit of calculation will ®e obtained as floating decimal soint. Gor 2: The result of calculation will be obtained as fixed decimal poitt. CONSTANT SWITCH this switeh should be set for multiplication, division Br power calculation with a constant. INDICAT! ON LAMPS Overflow lamp METHOD OF OPERATION AND PRECAUTIONS Ll. When the power and decimal setting switch ig set either ta F, 0 or 2, the power switch is turn on simultaneously when the deci- Mat Pont iS Set. . Prior to caitcujation, press @ key and set the constant switch to the desired position. . irrespective of the decimal setting, entering figure is possible. Further, when the power and decimal setting switch iS set to F, the decimal point of result ts indicated as being a fioating decimal while it is indicated at the specified position of decimal when this switch is set either to 0 or 2. Provided, however, that, the decimal goint af intermediate result iS indicated as being a floating decimal. . When the integer numbers calculated exceed § digits, the machine will be overflowed overflow, and all keys, exceot for @ key, are locked. In order to proceed with further catculatians, clear the calculation register by depressing €) key. . When entered figure exceeds & digit, the machine will be overfiowed. Then the numerical keys are locked, and the number of entered figure after the 9th digit is ignored. In this case, the ather keys are not locked: thereifcre, it is pos- Sibla to proceed with calculations. However, it is better to reenter the number by depressing the (CT) Key. In case where the specified decimal point position is set either to O or 2, the caiculator indicates al) the calicusation results after autamatically performing @ round-off calculation.
